This is a Powder Coating made up of Epoxy Resin, Hardening agents, Additives, Pigments, and Extenders and it’s applied on preheated substrate electrostaticaly. The charged particles get attracted to the surface of the substrate, fuses and get bonded with the surface forming a coating.
The FBE Coating has unique wear and corrosion resistance, very high mechanical strength, and resistance against environmental effects, salt water and other corrosive agents. It does not impact the quality of Drinking (potable) Water.
Procedures that are frequently used to apply FBE Powder are Electrostatic and dipping processes. In the electrostatic process FBE Powder is put into the hopper of the spray system and gets charged while ejaculating from the spray gun. After being sprayed on to the substrate surface, the charged powder particles adhere to the surface and form a Coating.
Another way of using the FBE coating is known as fluidized bed dipping. In this, the heated material is dipped into the bed of fluidized FBE powder. The material is removed from the bed and is reheated, which causes the coating to get cured. It uses the methods used to coat large, irregularly shaped objects that are not easily coated using the electrostatic spray deposition process.
